You'll likely start developing problems with your gums as you reach your 30s. It is much more common to have problems with receding gums, which can be due to your age or simply not taking good care of your teeth. Make sure that you are brushing properly, with the toothbrush overlapped with your gums and with the bristles angled into the gum line. You should also avoid brushing too harshly, since it can increase the possibility of receding gums and increase sensitivity as your enamel gets worse and breaks down.
